Overhauling the gearbox
Check the condition of the front
coupling dogs of the gears.
They must not be damaged in any
way and must have live edges.
The intermediate gears must rotate
freely on their shafts.
The intermediate gears must have
the prescribed minimal axial
clearance (Sect. C 1.1).
The intermediate gears for the 3
rd
and 4
th
gears on the secondary shaft
must have the prescribed maximum
axial clearance (Sect. C 1.1).
When refitting, make sure the snap
rings are correctly positioned.
Check the needle roller bearings
for wear.
The threading and splines of the
shafts must be in perfect condition.
At the time of each overhaul check
the condition of the needle roller
cage (13) and the oil seal (14) and
the end of the gearbox primary shaft:
remove them if necessary using a
suitable puller and replace them.

Controllare le condizioni dei denti di
innesto frontale degli ingranaggi che
devono essere in perfetto stato e a
spigoli vivi.
Gli ingranaggi folli devono ruotare
liberamente sui propri alberi.
Gli ingranaggi folli devono presentare
il gioco assiale minimo prescritto
(Sez. C 1.1).
Gli ingranaggi folli della 3ª e 4ª velocità
sull'albero secondario devono
presentare il gioco assiale massimo
prescritto (Sez. C 1.1).
Fare attenzione nel rimontaggio
al corretto posizionamento degli
anelli di arresto.
Verificare lo stato di usura dei
semicuscinetti a rullini.
Le filettature e le scanalature degli
alberi devono essere in perfette
condizioni.
Verificare ad ogni revisione le
condizioni dell'astuccio a rullini (13)
e dell'anello di tenuta (14) posti
sull'estremità dell'albero primario
cambio: in caso di necessità
rimuoverli, utilizzando un estrattore
adatto, e sostituirli.
