Lavaggio della catena
Il corretto lavaggio della catena con
O-rings deve essere effettuato con
petrolio, nafta, oppure olio di
paraffina.
È da evitare assolutamente l’utilizzo di
benzina, trielina e di solventi di ogni
tipo, che potrebbero danneggiare gli
O-rings in gomma. Per questa ragione
sono da evitare anche i prodotti spray
non specifici per catene O-ring.
Lubrificazione della
catena
Nella catena con O-rings la
lubrificazione antiusura è assicurata
dal lubrificante originale sigillato,
nella zona di lavoro perno-bussola,
dagli stessi O-Ring. È tuttavia
indispensabile provvedere ad una
lubrificazione periodica a scopo
protettivo sia delle parti metalliche
della catena che degli O-Ring.
La lubrificazione di questi ultimi ha lo
scopo di mantenerli sufficentemente
elastici per garantire la massima
tenuta.
La lubrificazione a scopo protettivo si
ottiene applicando, con un semplice
pennello, sull’intera lunghezza della
catena, sia all’interno sia all’esterno
un velo di olio motore ad alta densità,
(vedere caratteristiche Sez. C 2).
Washing the chain
Chains with O-rings must be washed
in petroleum, diesel fuel or paraffin oil.
Do not use petrol, trichloroethylene or
other solvents, which will otherwise
damage the rubber O-rings. For the
same reason use only sprays
specifically formulated for use with
O-ring chains.
Lubricating the chain
Chains with O-rings are lubricated and
sealed to protect the O-rings
themselves against wear in the pin/
bushing area. However, these chains
need lubricating at regular intervals to
protect metal parts of the chain and
the O-rings.
Lubrication also serves to keep the
O-rings soft and pliable to ensure the
maximum sealing efficiency.
Using a brush, apply a thin protective
film of high-density engine oil along
the entire length of the chain both
inside and outside (see specifications
in Sect. C 2).
