Controllo impianto di
ricarica
Per verificare il flusso di corrente nel
circuito di ricarica del motociclo è
possibile utilizzare lo strumento di
diagnosi “DDS” con la pinza
amperometrica ad induzione.
Seguire le indicazioni riportate al
paragrafo “controllo corrente
impianto di ricarica” (Sez. D 5).
Se la corrente misurata ha segno
positivo, significa che l’alternatore sta
alimentando tutti gli utilizzatori e
ricaricando la batteria. Se la corrente ha
segno negativo, l’impianto di ricarica
non riesce ad alimentare i carichi e una
consistente parte di corrente deve
essere fornita all’accumulatore che si
trova in fase di scarica.
Note
Oltre a questo tipo di controllo,
è possibile verificare il corretto
funzionamento di ricarica dal
cruscotto (Sez. M 4).
Importante
In caso di montaggio invertito
della pinza sul cavo, i valori riscontrati
avranno segno opposto a quelli reali e
daranno luogo a una diagnosi sbagliata.
2 - CHARGING SYSTEM -
BATTERY
Checking the battery
charging system
To check the current flow in the
charging circuit, use the DDS tester with
the inductive clamp-type ammeter.
Follow the instructions given under
the heading “checking the charging
system current” (Sect. D 5).
If the measured current is displayed
with positive sign (+), this means that
generator is feeding all the electrical
loads and charging battery at the
same time. A negative value means
that charging system is not feeding
the loads and a significant amount of
current must be supplied to the
battery, which is discharging at the
time of the measurement.
Notes
As well as the above check, it is
also possible to check the operation of
the recharging system directly from
the instrument panel (Sect. M 4).
Important
If polarity is reversed when
clamping the ammeter onto the
cable, the sign of the readings will
also be reversed, giving rise to
incorrect diagnosis.
