Notes
(1) Replace every two years irrespective of condition.
(2) Check that the following safety-critical parts are
properly tightened down:
- Chain sprocket
- Nuts and bolts securing the engine to the frame
- Front wheel nut
- Rear wheel nut
- Steering head screws
- Bottom yoke screws
- Steering head assembly screw
- Handlebar clamp screws
- Fork pinch bolts
- Screw securing the swingarm to the rear shock
absorber
- Screw securing rear shock absorber to
suspension rocker arm
- Screw securing shock absorber reaction arm to
rocker arm bolt
- Swingarm pivot shaft screw
- Nut securing suspension rocker arm to frame
- Oil pipe connector on cooler
- Oil pipe connector on crankcase
- Front brake calliper screw
- Front brake disc screw
- Rear brake calliper screw
- Rear brake disc screw
- Cush drive pin to chain ring retainer
- Chain ring nuts
- Passenger grab strap screw
- Calliper plate pin
(3) General testing of the motorcycle involves
checking the following parts:
- Wheel hub bearings
- Rear wheel flexible coupling
- Sprocket nut
- Side stand.
- Radiator fans
- Indicators and lighting devices
