Notes
When overhauling an engine
it is good practice to renew all the
casing bearings.
After having renewed the gearbox
shaft bearings (19) and (9), secure
them in the casing with the spacers
(21) and retaining plate (10).
At each overhaul it is also advisable
to renew the oil seal (8) at the outside
of bearing (9) (see Sect. G 8).
Renew the bearings (7) and (23) at the
end of the gearbox shafts and the
timing layshaft bearings (4) and (15).
Take care not to lose shim (6)
interposed between bearing (7) at the
end of the gearbox primary shaft and
the chain side casing.
Oil seal (14) on the external side of
roller bearing (15) must be renewed
at the time of each engine overhaul.
Check that the oilways are free of
restricted passages or clogging.
Check the condition of centring
bushes (22). In the event of evident
signs of distortion or excessive
assembly clearance with the
corresponding seats, remove the
centring bushes using appropriate
tools.
If the removal of the bushes (22)
from the casing proves difficult, use
a left-handed thread tap to drive the
bushes clear.
Important
Always renew bushes (22)
when they have been removed using
the above procedure.
Remove the bearing (23), circlip (5)
and roller bearing (4).
Note
È buona norna, quando si
revisiona un motore, sostituire tutti
i cuscinetti dei semicarter.
Dopo aver sostituito i cuscinetti (19)
e (9), di supporto degli alberi cambio,
bloccarli sul semicarter con i
distanziali (21) e la piastrina di
fermo (10).
Ad ogni revisione è consigliabile
sostituire anche l’anello di tenuta (8)
all’esterno del cuscinetto (9)
(vedere Sez. G 8).
Sostituire i cuscinetti (7) e (23) di
estremità degli alberi cambio e i
cuscinetti (4) e (15) di supporto
dell’albero rinvio distribuzione.
Fare attenzione al rasamento (6)
posto tra cuscinetto (7) di estremità
dell'albero primario cambio e
semicarter lato catena.
In corrispondenza del cuscinetto a
rulli (15) è installato, sul lato esterno
un anello di tenuta (14) che deve
essere sostituito ad ogni revisione.
Controllare che i condotti di
lubrificazione non presentino
strozzature od ostruzioni.
Verificare le condizioni delle
boccole (22) di centraggio. In caso
di evidenti deformazioni o gioco di
accoppiamento con gli alloggiamenti
eccessivo, procedere alla rimozione
utilizzando attrezzi adatti.
Se l'operazione di rimozione dagli
alloggiamenti sul carter delle
boccole (22) risulta difficoltosa è
consigliabile utilizzare un maschio
sinistro con il quale forzare in uscita
le boccole.
Importante
Sostituire sempre le boccole (22)
rimosse con questa procedura.
Rimuovere il cuscinetto (23), l’anello
seeger (5) e il cuscinetto a rulli (4).
