Using SNMP to Manage the ProCurve Secure Router
Use the no form of the command to remove contact information.
Syntax: no snmp-server contact [email | pager | phone | <string>]]
Specify the SNMP Server Management URL Information
You can use the snmp-server management-url command to specify the URL
for the router’s management software. Again, this information might be helpful
to the SNMP administrator if he or she needs to change a setting or view
information that is not available through the SNMP console.
From the global configuration mode context, enter:
Syntax: snmp-server management-url <URL>
Replace <URL> with the URL for the management software. For example,
you might enter:
ProCurve(config)# snmp-server management-url http://192.168.1.1
Use the no form of the command to remove the URL.
Syntax: no snmp-server management-url
You may want to provide additional information about the ProCurve Secure
Router’s management software. You can use the snmp-server management-
url-label command to specify a label of up to 255 characters. From the global
configuration mode context, enter:
Syntax: snmp-server management-url-label <label>
Replace <label> with information about the management software. For
example, you might enter:
ProCurve(config)# snmp-server management-url-label ProCurve Management
Software
Use the no form of the command to remove the label.
Syntax: no snmp-server management-url-label
