19. Instruct the technician at the West node to verify
that the NE ACTY LED is off at the user panel. An
alternative method is to log in to the "West node"
and execute the FAULT-Retrieve-Alarms
command to verify that there are NOT any active
alarms.

that the NE ACTY LED is off at the user panel. An
alternative method is to log in to the "East node"
and execute the FAULT-Retrieve-Alarms
command to verify that there are NOT any active
alarms.

NOTE:
Incorrectly provisioned source node TID and/or destination node
TID can result in a service outage under certain multiple failure
conditions.
If required, enter any tributary-to-slot (drop) and/or
slot-to-tributary (add) cross-connections at the
"new node".

Incorrectly assigned node IDs can
result in irregularities of protection
switching.
Perform the Ring Reset procedure to allow correct
node IDs to be reassigned.
