12. Instruct the technicians, at both the West Node
and East Node, to wait one minute for the LEDs
on each node's receiver circuit pack to stop
flashing. If they do not stop flashing after about a
minute, refer to TAP-110.
13. Whenever the receiver's LEDs stop blinking--the
ring is then re-connected and a transient node
ID conflict condition will exist. Depending
on how many nodes are in the ring it may take
from several minutes to a few hours for this
condition to clear.

NOTE:
Refer to Figure 5. The forced switch at the
West Node can now be reset.
Instruct the technician at the West Node to
enter FAULT-Switch-Line:1E:Reset
command at the CIT. The line switch may
cause traffic hits.
