Clear Trouble Report
Overview: This procedure is used to clear a trouble report that was received from a
remote location. The remote location is receiving a bad signal or other condition from
this local FT-2000 network element.
1. Is the NE ACTY LED lighted on the user panel?
If YES, then continue with Step 2.
If NO, then continue with Step 3.
2. Is the USE CIT LED lighted?
If NO, then go to TAP-101.
If YES, then go to TAP-102.
3. Is a local CIT available for use?
If YES, then continue with Step 4.
If NO, then continue with Step 14.
NOTE:
With Release 6.0 or later software, an outgoing OC3 DCC failure can be caused
by a DCC assignment to an LS INTFC slot that does not contain a good OC3
circuit pack.
4. Is Release 6.0 or later software being used?
If YES, then continue with Step 5.
If NO, then continue with Step 10.
5. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Assignment-DCC command
to determine the LS INTFC slot associated with each existing DCC assign-
ment.
6. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Equipment command to deter-
mine whether or not each LS INTFC slot identified in Step 5 contains a good
OC3 circuit pack.
