7. Does any LS INTFC slot(s) with an existing DCC assignment NOT contain a
good OC3 circuit pack.
If YES, then continue with Step 8.
If NO, then continue with Step 10.
8. Either install an OC3 circuit pack in the slot(s) identified in Step 7 or use the
CONFIGURATION-Delete-Assignment-DCC command to delete the DCC
assignment(s) to that slot(s).
9. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
10. Test the LEDs at the local user panel as follows: At the CIT, select
FAULT-Test-LED and User Panel, then execute.
11. Did all the LEDs on the user panel light?
If YES, then continue with Step 12.
If NO, then go to TAP-108.
12. Obtain an Active Alarms and Status Report as follows: At the CIT, select
FAULT-Retrieve-Alarm, then ALL for alarm levels.
13. Are any alarm or status conditions indicated on the report?
If YES, then go to TAP-102.
If NO, then continue with Step 14.
14. Make a visual inspection of the outgoing cable(s) and connection(s) and cor-
rect any problem(s) found.

15. Was any problem(s) found with the outgoing cable(s) or connection(s).
If YES, then continue with Step 16.
If NO, then return a NO TROUBLE FOUND conclusion to the report (no
active local alarms or visual problems).
NOTE:
OC-48 and/or OC-3 optical lines can be tested by using optical line meters
and/or optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR) to help locate a fiber bend or
cut. Refer to local operating procedures for further guidance in addressing this
condition.
16. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
