5. Referring to the column headings of the Network Alarms Report obtained in
Step 2, is the rightmost column labeled Local Ring (asinFigure1),TID,or
Event Description?
If Local Ring, then continue with Step 9.
If TID, then continue with Step 9.
If Event Description, then continue with Step 6.
6. Referring to the topmost entry in the Network Alarms Report obtained in Step
2, is there any text in the Event Description field?
If YES, then continue with Step 7.
If NO, then continue with Step 9.
NOTE:
The condition to be cleared is at an FT-2000 Repeater Bay/Shelf. You cannot
log in to the Repeater Bay/Shelf from a remote location.
7. Referring to the topmost entry in the Network Alarms Report obtained in Step
2, issue a Trouble Report about the FT-2000 Repeater Bay/Shelf location with
the indicated Source Address. The Trouble Report should include the text
from the Event Description field.
8. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
NOTE:
The Target ID (TID) of the local FT-2000 network element appears at the top of
the CIT screen between the software release designation and LOCAL.
NOTE:
Depending on the software release running in the local FT-2000 network
element, the column in the Network Alarms Report indicating the TID associated
with a particular condition may be labeled TID (as in Figure 1) or Source
Address.
9. Referring to the topmost entry in the Network Alarms Report obtained in Step
2, is the entry in the TID or Source Address column the TID of the local
FT-2000 network element?
If YES, then continue with Step 11.
If NO, then continue with Step 10.
