Issue 8.0, July 2002 Page 1 of 2
TAP-162
Clear ‘Circuit Provisioning Error’
NOTE:
This condition means an internal audit function found a circuit with incorrectly
provisioned source or destination.
NOTE:
The most likely causes of this condition are (1) the provisioned add/drop
source/destination TID for the selected drop slot does not match the actual
source/destination TIDs or (2) a secondary source cross-connection is missing
for a DRI circuit.
1. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Circuit-STS3 (or
STS1) command for the slot with the circuit provisioning error con-
dition and execute to obtain an STS-3 (or STS-1) Circuit Map Report. The
report lists all the cross-connections that make up this circuit. An example of
this report with a description of the output parameters is provided in Section 11
of this manual.
2. From the report obtained in Step 1, identify the tributary of the circuit.
3. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-Timeslot-STS3 (or
STS1) command for the tributary identified in Step 2 and execute to obtain an
STS-3 (or STS-1) Tributary Map Report. An example of this report with a
description of the output parameters is provided in Section 11 of this manual.
4. From the report obtained in Step 3, identify the actual source and destination
nodes in the report.
• Hint 1: For a 1-way cross-connection, the actual source TID is the TID
(listedintheAt Node column) of the node where the add cross-connec-
tion exists. The actual destination TID is the TID (listed in the At Node
column) of the node where the drop cross-connection exists.
• Hint 2: For a DRI cross-connection, the actual source is the TID (listed in
the At Node column) of the secondary node.
• Hint 3: For a drop-and-continue cross-connection, the actual destination
is the TID (listed in the At Node column) of the node where the last drop
in the circuit is shown.
5. From the report obtained in Step 3, identify the provisioned source TID (listed
in the TID column on the left side of the report) and the destination TID (listed
in the TID column on the right side).
