Purpose of High-Speed Shelf 3
The High-Speed Shelf
*
serves as an interface for the OC-48 high-speed lines 1W
and 1E. The High-Speed Shelf (Figure 3-10) consists of the fully connectorized
interconnection panel, a filter panel, and eight circuit pack slots. It measures 21.5
inches high by 21.5 inches wide by 12 inches deep and fits in a standard 23-inch
wide network bay framework.

compatible with Release 7.2.0 and later software.

OC48 Receiver, Add/Drop (OC48 RCVR [A/D]) circuit pack for OC-48 high-
speed line 1W. The 839B4B and 839B5 OC48 RCVR (A/D) circuit packs
are compatible with Release 7.0.0-ADR or later software. The 839E5 circuit
pack is compatible with Release 7.2.0 and later software.
■ LNCTL: One slot is provided for the LAA28 Line Controller — 4 Megabyte
(LNCTL [4 MEG]) circuit pack.
■ OHCTL 1W: One slot is provided for the LAA22 Overhead Controller —
Terminal (OHCTL [TERM]) circuit pack.
■ OHCTL 1E: One slot is provided for the LAA21 Overhead Controller —
Terminal [OHCTL (TERM)] circuit pack.
