24. Provision the correct provisioned receive path trace using the
CONFIGURATION-Set-Path-Trace command or be sure cross-connections
are correct in the network.

26. Determine via a remote login, or by contacting the personnel at the source of
the DS3 path, if the actual receive path trace you are seeing is the same as
the provisioned transmit path trace at the source of the DS3 path?
NOTE:
There is a remote possibility that the actual receive path trace is NOT the
same as the provisioned transmit path trace at the source of the DS3
path.
If the same, then continue with Step 27.
If different, then continue with Step 29.
27. At the source of the DS3 path, provision the correct provisioned transmit path
trace using the CONFIGURATION-Set-Path-Trace command or be sure
cross-connections are correct in the network.

28. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
29. What software release is running at the source of the DS3 path?
If Release 4.0 or earlier, then continue with Step 30.
If Release 4.1 or later, then continue with Step 34.

CAUTION:
Service interruption may occur if the protections DS3 circuit pack is not ready.
30. At the source of the DS3 path, unseat, and then reseat, the DS3 circuit pack
that terminates the path.
31. Is the path trace mismatch still observed at the original network element?
If YES, then continue with Step 32.
If NO, then STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
32. Consult the appropriate maintenance support organization for further technical
assistance.
33. STOP! YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS PROCEDURE.
