9. Locate the affected power filter capacitors in the back right corner of the Inter-
connection Panel. Feeder A has one capacitor with a red lead and one with a
black lead. Feeder B has one capacitor with a grey lead and one with a grey
with black stripe lead.

NOTE:
The Interconnection Panels for other shelf types have the same power filter
connectors, but the other connectors may vary.
10. Go to the back of the bay and remove the top or bottom cover, depending on
which shelf is affected. (Remove all screws and lift the cover off.)
11. Locate the capacitors mounted below the PWR label on the left side of the
backplane. The label for each connector indicates whether it belongs to the A
or B feeder.
NOTE:
It is highly unlikely that both the -48 and -48 RTN capacitors are defective.
Therefore it is recommended to replace one at a time (Steps 12-25). If replacing
thefirstonedoesn’t clear the alarm then remove the fuse and repeat Steps
12-25 for the other capacitor.
12. Remove the leads to the affected feeder capacitors.
