â– SECURITY-Set-Network Element: This input sets the Target IDentifier
(TID) parameter. The TID is a unique identification of the network element
withinaSONETnetwork.
— The TID parameter determines the name used to identify the local
network element within a SONET network. It is used on all CIT and
TL1 reports, and it is the destination address for remote logins. It is
a character string of up to 20 characters, where the characters are
letters, digits, or hyphens (-). The difference between upper and
lower case is significant. Each TID in the network must be unique.
â– SECURITY-Set-Password: This input changes your password. All users
can change their own passwords, including Reports-Only users.
— The Old Password parameter must match the user's current
password.
— The New Password parameter replaces the current password. The
New Password must be different from the current password. A
password consists of a string of alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic
characters conforming to the following rules:
— String must contain from 6 to 10 characters
— At least 2 of the characters must be nonalphabetic
— At least 1 of the characters must be symbolic (the @, #, ?, or
space not allowed)
— The difference between upper and lower case is significant.
— The Re-enter New Password parameter confirms the New
Password. Reenter the exact characters that were entered for the
New Password parameter.
â– SECURITY-Set-Security-Network Element: This input sets the
Logins Allowed parameter. The Logins Allowed parameter specifies
whether nonprivileged users are allowed to log in to the network element.
When the Logins Allowed parameter is set to "No," all nonprivileged users
will be immediately logged off.
— The Logins Allowed parameter specifies whether nonprivileged
users are allowed to log in to the network element. When the Logins
Allowed parameter is set to "No," all nonprivileged users will be
logged off immediately.
â– SECURITY-Set-Security-Port: This input enables or disables user
access via the CIT-DTE port.
— The Type parameter selects the port(s) to enable or disable. The
choices are:
— "All"
— "CIT-DCE": access via the user panel
— "CIT-DTE": dial-up access.
