Table 9-2. Condition Descriptions
Description (from Retrieve-Alarm Report) Meaning
APS channel failure The automatic protection switching (APS)
channel on the protection line has failed.
Likely causes: Failure of protection line, far-end
TRMTR, near-end RCVR, or far-end LNCTL
circuit packs.
APS provisioning conflict The line protection switching configuration (1xN
or 1+1) or directionality (unidirectional or
bidirectional) is provisioned differently at the two
ends of the line.
circuit audit suspended The circuit provisioning audits are not functioning.
circuit provisioning error Intermediate source/destination node TID is
incorrect, or the add/drop source/destination
node TID is incorrect.
clock out of range One or both of the TG3 circuit packs supplying
synchronization to the TRMTR circuit pack have
gone out of the recommended range.
CKP Serial EPROM corrupted A circuit pack in the indicated slot has corrupt
datainitsmemory.
CP reset in progress A circuit pack has been installed and that the
necessary software is being downloaded to the
circuit pack.
CP (unknown type) failure The circuit pack in the indicated slot has failed
but its type is unknown.
CP (unknown type) removed The circuit pack in the indicated slot has been
removed but its type is unknown.
CPYPGM:IP tid Copy program in progress.
DCC startup in progress The DCC is starting up.
DRI auto switch An automatic DRI switch is active.
DRI manual switch A manual DRI switch is active.
DS3 INTFC failure A DS3 circuit pack failure.
DS3 INTFC removed A DS3 circuit pack is missing from a slot.
