NTP-007: Acceptance 365-575-102
Page2of4 Issue8.0,July2002
NOTE:
If the ring network is equipped with FT-LBAs, it is required that they be in
place (connected in the ring) during ring acceptance testing. The FT-LBAs
should be transparent during ring acceptance.
Verify the FT-2000 network elements are con-
nected in an FT-2000 2-fiber bidirectional ring.
DLP-506
2. Verify the NE ACTY and the FE ACTY LEDs are off at
the user panel on the local FT-2000 add/drop-rings
terminal.
—
3. If required, connect the craft interface terminal (CIT)
to the local FT-2000 network element and condition it.
DLP-501
4. At the CIT, select CONFIGURATION-Retrieve-
Map-Ring and execute to obtain a Ring Map Report
for the local node.
—
5. The Ring Map Report lists the ring nodes from west to east starting at the local
node. If the nodes are incorrectly connected, the order of the nodes in the report
will also be incorrect.
Verify the Ring Map Report agrees with the
engineered data, particularly the NID (node
identification for Release 5 and lower) and TID (target
identifier). For Releases 3 and 4.0, also verify that
Comm. Status is "good". For Releases 4.1 and
later, also verify that DCC Status and Ring
Continuity are "good". Section 11 shows an
example of the report.
—
6. At the CIT, select SECURITY-Retrieve-Network
Element and execute to obtain an FT-2000 System
Provisioning Report for the local FT-2000
add/drop-rings terminal.
—
7. Verify the report agrees with the engineered data,
particularly the Directory Service NE value. Only one
DSNE is allowed per ring network. Section 11 shows
example of report.
