B.19.2. PMC100 (Piezo Motor Controller)
The PMC100 icon represents the PMC100 Piezo Motor Controller that is used for coarse approach on
many SPM systems. To utilize this icon, it is just dropped onto the Hardware Space and is ready for use.
All connections to the PMC100 are external to the R9 controller and do not need to be connected by
virtual wiring. The PMC100 has two connections that control its operation. The first is an Ethernet
connection to the PC. As the R9 already has an Ethernet connection to the PC, the PC, PMC100 and the
R9 controller should all be connected to the same Ethernet network switch. The predefined IP address for
the PMC100 is 192.168.10.65. The second connection for the PMC100 is a TTL hardware trigger. The
default TTL line for the trigger is TTL Out 0, Bit 4.
