I.15. Fast Sweep Aborts
The Fast Sweep Abort tool can be used to abort a sweep before it completes based on a signal rising
above the Limit Max or falling below the Limit Min that are set inside of the procedure.
I.15.1. Fast Sweep Abort Setup
An example Fast Sweep Abort setup is shown. The probe is retracted and coarse steps are performed.
Then (1) the Fast Sweep Abort hardware watcher is enabled. (2) The probe is ramped to full extension.
If the probe gets fully extended without the sweep being aborted, the (3) Fast Sweep Abort hardware
watcher is disabled. (4) The Watcher procedure item is connected to a state that handles the aborted
sweep. In this example, the Z extension sweep is aborted if the current exceeds a threshold of ±300 pA.
