Chapter 1. Prepare Your SPM System
Caution
The R9 Controller is quite heavy. There are no lifting handles on the hardware chassis.
Two people are needed to move and setup the R9 Controller. A rolling cart can be helpful
for relocation.
1.1 Check the Hardware for Damage
The packaging and transport of RHK products rarely leads to any damage, but if you see any signs of
damage to the carton or to the fit and finish of the component cases, take note of them (a picture is
always helpful) and contact RHK immediately.

Before connecting power to the R9 Controller, carefully check for physical signs of shipping damage.
Look especially for dents, marks and abrasion on the corners of the hardware. Take a digital photograph
of any damage and send it to RHK Support for reference of a potential problem.
