LEVEL THE LOWER RIGHT SPINDLE ASSEMBLY
Note: Refer to Figures 11-1 and 11-2, above, when performing the lower right
spindle adjustment.
Side to Side
1. Place an 8-in. long standard bubble level side to side (with one end of the level
pointing toward the left side of the machine cabinet and the other end pointing
toward the right side) on the right work chuck mounting plate.
2. Read the level and adjust the position of the spindle assembly as needed to
meet the goal.
GOAL: The reading of the level should be centered within the
level's marks.
To adjust the position:
a. Locate the lower right spindle side to side adjusting screw, a two-pitch
screw extending horizontally from the side of the lower right spindle
assembly.
Notes:
Access the adjusting screw through the door 17 opening.
The screw is labeled for easy identification.
b. Using a 3/4-in. open end wrench, rotate the screw as needed to meet the
goal.
Rotating the screw clockwise lowers the side of the spindle nearest the
right side of the machine.
Rotating the screw counterclockwise raises the side of the spindle nearest
the right side of the machine.
