Front to Rear
3. Rotate the level to a front to rear position on the right work chuck mounting
plate (one end pointing toward the front of the machine cabinet and the other
end pointing toward the rear).
4. Read the level and adjust the position of the spindle assembly as needed to
meet the goal.
GOAL: The reading of the level should be centered within the
level's marks.
To adjust the position:
a. Locate the lower right spindle front to rear adjusting screw, a wedge
assembly extending vertically from the bottom of the lower right spindle
assembly.
Notes:
Access the adjusting screw through the door 17 opening.
The screw is labeled for easy identification.
b. Using a 9/16-in. open end wrench or a 1/4-in. hex key, rotate the screw as
needed to meet the goal.
Viewing the screw from the bottom of the machine, rotating the screw
counterclockwise raises the front of the spindle.
Viewing the screw from the bottom of the machine, rotating the screw
clockwise lowers the front of the spindle.
