1. At the Machine Maintenance menu, carefully move the bridge to its center
position:
GOAL: The bridge should be positioned such that the coarse
spindle is over the left work chuck.
Touch to Select Explanation/Screen Display
a. Machine Maint At the Main Menu screen, touch the "Machine
Maint" button to select the Machine
Maintenance menu.
Displays:

b. Factor x 1000 Estimate the distance the bridge must move and
set the factor. For example, touch the "Factor x
1000" button to set the factor at .001 inches x
1000.
Notes:
.001 inches x 1000 = one inch of movement per
touch of the Right or Left Arrow button touch.
c. ⇒ , ⇐ Touch the "Right Arrow" or "Left Arrow"
button on the bridge icon at the top of the screen
as many times as needed to align the coarse
spindle over the left work chuck.
2. Remove door 19.

3. Evaluate the sensor position:
Notes:
The Z travel proximity sensor is the upper of two sensors mounted horizontally
on the coarse spindle vertical bracket.
The lower sensor is reserved for future development.
a. If the sensor trigger looks as if it can be moved vertically without clipping
the sensor, skip to Step 4., below.
