11. Following the steps found in the Basic Operation section of this chapter,
perform the following procedures in the order shown below:
a. Power up.
b. Home the machine.
c. True the newly installed grind wheel.
d. Reference the machine.
12. Following the steps found in the Basic Operation section of this chapter, grind
a test wafer and observe machine performance:
a. Grind a test wafer.
b. During grinding, observe for the following goal:
GOAL: Spindle force should fluctuate less than +/- 10 lbs. from the
normal grinding force for each step of the grind cycle.
c. If the goal is met, skip to Step 14., below.
d. If the goal is not met, true the wheel again.
13. True the new grind wheel again.
14. Repeat Step 12., above, to test another wafer.
When the goal is met, the newly installed grind wheel is ready for use.
