6. Disconnect the utility hoses joining the grinding area facilities to the handling
area:
a. Disconnect the 1-inch drain from the bottom of the plenum.
b. Disconnect the D.I. water line from its connection underneath the
spin/rinse station by depressing its quick disconnect and pulling.
c. Unclamp the retaining ring of the 5-inch exhaust hose from the plenum.
Pull the exhaust duct hose off its connection.
7. Continue to rotate the handling section clockwise to provide access to the
grinding section of the machine.
8. Using a 9/16-in. open end wrench, loosen the two 3/8-in. hex bolts of the
probe mounting bracket (the vertical plate mounted to the lower spindle
assembly) by rotating them counterclockwise.
9. Move the assembly up or down as needed to meet the goal.
10. Retighten the 3/8-in. hex bolts by rotating them clockwise.
Note: When retightening the bolts, be sure the probe is perpendicular to
the work chuck.
