Tools Required
• forklift equipped with 50-inch tines
• dolly
• 9/16-in. open end wrench
• 3/16-in. hex key
• two 1-in. x 3 1/2-in. x 1/2-in. bearing clamps
For Manufacturing Locations with a Wide Access Door
(70 Inches or Greater)
1. Use a FORKLIFT to lift the machine from its pallet.
• Fork the machine from the rear.
WARNINGS!
When using the forklift to lift or move the machine, it is IMPERATIVE that the
forks extend a minimum of 50 inches toward the front of the machine to support
the entire grinding section (front to back).
Failure to observe the procedures detailed in this chapter when lifting or moving
the machine may result in machine damage and/or injury to personnel.
2. Move the machine to the desired location.
3. Remove the orange-colored shipping bracket:
a. Remove door 19.
b. Using a 9/16-in. open end wrench, remove the three 3/8-16 screws securing the
orange-colored 18-in. shipping bracket at the rear of the machine to the bed by
rotating them counterclockwise.
c. Using a 3/16-in. hex key, remove the six 1/4-20 socket head screws from the
bridge by rotating them counterclockwise.
d. Set the shipping bracket aside.
