WORK AND SPIN CHUCK HOME INDEX
CALIBRATION
The home (index) position for the work and spin chucks is only set when a "Home
All" function is performed in the Home Screen. The spin chuck uses home index
hardware (sensors) that will index the chuck in the same place in all cases. The work
chuck checks for a home index and uses this for a reference, if the OPTIONAL
hardware is installed on the machine. If the hardware is not detected, the chuck will
be left in the same position as it entered the Home Screen and this will be used as the
home position.
The work chucks, however, can operate without the hardware by disconnecting the
sensor and setting the Machine Variables 10 and 11 to 0.0, as outlined below for
Machines Without Home Index Hardware Installed.
