Operation and Maintenance Manual Model 7AF Wafer Grinder
10
Number: 48 Value: 0.0 Label: Dual Coarse or Fine Grnd
The value 0 allows Traditional use of the 7AF, with one coarse grind wheel
on the left and one fine grind wheel on the right. The value 1 allows use of
the 7AF with two fine wheels and the value 2 allows use of the 7AF with two
coarse wheels. See document DualFine.doc for a complete explanation. In
version 5.08, Two-Sided Grind was added, allowing this variable to have
values 0 - 5, and, in addition, making it a two-digit number. See the
document TwoSided.doc.
This used to be called “LT Chuck wafer clean rpm” with default value 250.
That use is explained in the description of variable 46.
Number: 49 Value: 0.0 Label: RPM for Following Error
This complements the 1000’s digit of variable 19, which ignores grind wheel
following errors while the wheel is supposed to be at rest but is spinning.
Grind wheel following errors that are slower than the rpm given by variable
49 will be ignored whether the wheel is in use or is at rest. Following errors
for the spinning wheels are generally unimportant.
Number: 50 Value: 1000.0 Label: Reference wafer
This is used as an upper bound on the thickness of wafers being used for
reference or grind. It contributes to the up-height (described under variable
23). If you use wafers thicker than the value in this variable, you will be
warned of a Bad Reference or you will receive an error during the grind.
AlTiC wafers tend to be nearly 3000 microns thick, so 3000 is a good choice
here for AlTiC.
Number: 51 Value: 305.6 Label: Coarse Deadweight lbs
This value is not used in the software, and this variable may be assigned a
new meaning in the future.
Number: 52 Value: 306.2 Label: Fine Deadweight lbs
This value is not used in the software, and this variable may be assigned a
new meaning in the future.
Number: 53 Value: 0.0 Label: Password Needed 0=No
If this is zero, no password is needed to operate the 7AF. If it is 1, there are
three levels of password security as described in the document “7AF
Password Security” dated 12/6/96. Software versions 5.00-5.02 also
recognize the value 2, which modifies the security scheme of that document.
With version 5.04 a new scheme was adopted allowing customers to specify
security button-by-button on the various screens. This variable now
recognizes only the values zero and 1, as described in the updated version of
the document “7AF Password Security” dated 10/11/99.
