INDUSTRIAL WASTE
The industrial waste drain [A], the machine’s main drain, is connected via a two-
inch pipe a the lower rear of the machine.
The industrial waste drain carries DI water and residual amounts of product removal
residue; thus, it may not require any special handling provisions.
An external cleanout is recommended for the drain pipe. A pipe union is also
recommended--located near the drain pipe connection to facilitate future pipe servicing
or possible machine moving.
EXHAUST
The exhaust [B] is a five-inch duct located at the lower rear of the machine.
AIR BEARING SPINDLE MOTOR COOLING WATER IN/OUT
The air bearing spindle motor cooling water in, spindle coolant in [F], may be
connected to the municipal water supply or to chilled municipal water through a 3/8-
inch tube connection at the lower rear of the machine.
The air bearing spindle motor cooling water out, spindle coolant out [G], connection
is also made through a 3/8-inch tube connection at the lower rear of the machine.
Note: When monitoring coolant in and/or out pressures with a flow switch, the
system should be setup with a minimum 15 psi difference between the
incoming spindle coolant and the outgoing spindle coolant pressures. The
outgoing spindle coolant pressure will always be less than the incoming spindle
coolant pressure.
