Setting the Passwords
All passwords are 4 character sets based on capital letters (A-Z) or numbers (0-9). You must use 4 characters.
They are entered into one of the 4 rectangles at the top of the screen. To change a password, touch or click in
the rectangle to be changed and delete the characters already there by hitting the backspace key at least 4 times.
Note that the input program will not allow you to enter more than 4 characters. See Figure 2. On leaving the box
or hitting the “Enter” key, your entry will be checked. Follow any instructions if errors are found.

Setting Identification Codes and Names
All Identification Codes are 4 character sets based on capital letters (A-Z) or numbers (0-9). You must use 4
characters. They are entered into the 4 character rectangles in the middle of the screen. To change a code, touch
or click in the rectangle to be changed and delete the characters already there by hitting the backspace key at
least 4 times. Note that the input program will not allow you to enter more than 4 characters. See Figure 3. On
leaving the box or hitting the “Enter” key, your entry will be checked. Follow any instructions if errors are
found. Note that if you are clearing the code, an error is produced noting that you are giving a 0 length entry. If
your intention is to clear the code, ignore this error.
All Names are up to 16 character strings based on any printable character. The entry box is found directly below
its corresponding Identification Code. If you plan on downloading the password file, try to be economical, space
goes quick! For downloading, keep an eye on the “Space Left” display in the upper right corner. If you plan on
doing your editing at the 7AF or transferring the file by floppy disk, you can ignore this display. Follow any
instructions if errors are found. Note that if you are clearing the code, an error is produced noting that
unprintable characters have been found. If your intention is to clear the name, ignore this error.
