Se il valore della tensione non è
corretto, tendere o allentare la
cinghia, operando sul tenditore
mobile (24) allentando il dado (25).
Serrare il dado (25) di fissaggio
tenditore.
Rilevare nuovamente il valore di
tensione della cinghia distribuzione.
Ripetere l'operazione fino al
raggiungimento della tensione
prescritta.
Raggiunta la tensione desiderata
serrare il dado (25) di fissaggio
tenditore mobile (24) alla coppia
prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Posizionare l'albero motore al punto
morto superiore, in fase di scoppio
(valvola chiusa) del cilindro verticale
e ripetere la stessa procedura usata
per il cilindro orizzontale, misurando
la tensione sul ramo (22) della
cinghia verticale.
Scollegare il sensore tensione cinghie
e lo strumento di diagnosi DDS del
motoveicolo.
Attenzione
Ogni volta che si effettua il
tensionamento cinghie è buona
norma verificare la fase (Sez. N 4.1).

If the tension is incorrect, increase
or reduce belt tension by loosening
the nut (25) and moving the
adjustable tensioner roller (24).
Tighten the nut (25) securing the
adjustable tensioner.
Read belt tension again.
Repeat the above procedure until the
correct belt tension is obtained.
Once finished, tighten the nut (25) of
the adjustable tensioner (24) to the
specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Position the crankshaft at TDC of the
power stroke (valve closed) of the
vertical cylinder and repeat the same
procedure used for the horizontal
cylinder, measuring the tension on
section (22) of the vertical belt.
Remove the belt tension sensor and
disconnect the DDS tester from the
motorcycle.
Warning
Whenever you tension the
belts, it is good practice to also
check the timing (Sect. N 4 1).
