Revisione pistone
Pulire accuratamente il cielo del
pistone e le cave dei segmenti
dalle incrostazioni carboniose.
Procedere ad un accurato controllo
visivo e dimensionale del pistone: non
devono apparire tracce di forzamenti,
rigature, crepe o danni di sorta.
Il diametro del pistone va misurato a
6,0 mm dalla base del mantello, in
direzione perpendicolare all'asse
dello spinotto.
I pistoni devono sempre essere
sostituiti in coppia.

pistone-cilindro
I pistoni sono contrassegnati da
una lettera indicante la classe di
appartenenza (stampigliata sul
cielo del pistone).
L'accoppiamento cilindro- pistone
va sempre fatto tra classi uguali.
Per i valori vedere alla Sez. C 1.1.
Overhauling the piston
Clean the piston crown and piston
ring grooves of any carbon deposits.
Inspect the piston and check its
dimensions carefully: there must
be no signs of shrinkage, scoring,
cracks, or damage.
The piston diameter must be
measured at 6.0 mm mm from the
skirt base at right angles to the axis
of the gudgeon pin.
The pistons must always be changed
in pairs.

clearance
The pistons are marked by a letter
(punched into the piston crown) which
indicates the class to which they belong.
Always match cylinder and piston
from the same class.
For the values, refer to Sect. C 1.1.
