Forwarding UDP Service Requests

The IP time-to-live (TTL) value must be at least 2.

The IP protocol must be UDP (17).
â–
The UDP destination port must be TFTP, Domain Name System
(DNS), Time, NetBIOS, BOOTP or DHCP packet, or a UDP port
specified on the IP Service > UDP Helper > Forwarding page.
â—† If a helper address is specified on this configuration page, but no UDP
ports have been specified on the IP Service > UDP Helper > Forwarding
page, broadcast traffic for several UDP protocol types will be forwarded
by default as described on page 479.
PARAMETERS
These parameters are displayed in the web interface:
◆ VLAN ID – VLAN identifier (Range: 1-4093)
◆ IP Address – Host address or directed broadcast address to which UDP
broadcast packets are forwarded. (Range: 1-65535)
WEB INTERFACE
To specify the target server or subnet for forwarding UDP request packets:
1. Click IP Service, UDP Helper, Address.
2. Select Add from the Action list.
3. Enter the address of the remote server or subnet where UDP request
packets are to be forwarded.
4. Click Apply.

To show the target server or subnet for UDP requests:
1. Click IP Service, UDP Helper, Address.
2. Select Show from the Action list.
