COMMAND USAGE
◆ If an event is already defined for an index, the entry must be deleted
before any changes can be made with this command.
◆ The specified events determine the action to take when an alarm
triggers this event. The response to an alarm can include logging the
alarm or sending a message to a trap manager.

rmon collection
history
This command periodically samples statistics on a physical interface. Use
the no form to disable periodic sampling.
SYNTAX
rmon collection history index [buckets number] |
[interval seconds] | [owner name]
no rmon collection history index
index – Index to this entry. (Range: 1-65535)
number – The number of buckets requested for this entry.
(Range: 1-65536)
seconds – The polling interval. (Range: 1-3600 seconds)
name – Name of the person who created this entry. (Range: 1-127
characters)

COMMAND USAGE
◆ By default, each index number equates to a port on the ECN430-swich,
but can be changed to any number not currently in use.
◆ If periodic sampling is already enabled on an interface, the entry must
be deleted before any changes can be made with this command.
◆ The information collected for each sample includes:
input octets, packets, broadcast packets, multicast packets, undersize
packets, oversize packets, fragments, jabbers, CRC alignment errors,
collisioins, drop events, and network utilization.
