1.3.2 Configuring Extended Trap
The extended Trap includes the following.
z “Interface description” and “interface type” are added into the linkUp/linkDown
Trap message. When receiving this extended Trap message, NMS can
immediately determine which interface on the device fails according to the
interface description and type.
z In all Trap messages sent from the information center to the log server, a MIB
object name is added after the OID field of the MIB object. The name is for your
better understanding of the MIB object.
