71 - Maintenance Procedures
For CAS2 installed on the belt drive side of the engine with engine harness
revision AC.1 or lower, refer to Paragraph a).
For CAS2 installed on the belt drive side of the engine with engine harness
revision AD.1 or higher, refer to Paragraph b).
For CAS2 installed under the injector cover with engine harness revision
AD.1 or higher, refer to Paragraph c).
Connect BPA connector to BPA.
Attach the BPA branch on the connector
housing.
Do the injectors harness branch routing.
The harness branch must be above the
injector pipes.
For engine harness E4A(B)-95-000-000 rev.
AC.1 or lower and CAS2 is installed on the
belt drive side of the engine:
- connect the CAS1 pigtail with the ring
terminal to the CAS1 fastening screw
- attach the wiring harness branches with
cable ties No.[05] in the near of the injector
plugs.
Apply Loctite 243 to safety the screw.
Refer to Fig. 71 - 45.
If the engine harness is E4A(B)-95-000-000
rev. AD.1 or higher, and CAS2 is installed on
the belt drive side of the engine, obey the
instruction in Paragraph b).
If the engine harness is E4A(B)-95-000-000
rev. AD.1 or higher, and CAS2 is installed
under the injector cover, obey the instruction
in Paragraph c).
Attach the wiring harness branches of
the injectors with cable ties No.[05] in
the near of the injector plugs.
Make sure there is sufficient distance
between the harness and the injector cover.
This will prevent harness squeezing.
The harness must be parallel to the
high pressure rail.
Refer to Fig. 71 - 53.
Install the harness branch at the gearbox side
of the engine.
Attach the harness branch to the high
pressure rail.
Make sure that the cable ties do not apply
force on the injector cover mount or squeezes
the harness.
Connect the combined pigtails IAT1 & BPS1 and IAT2 & BPS2:
ï‚· for E4-A engines:
- use the screw of BPS2 (torque 5 Nm). Refer to Fig. 71 - 48.
ï‚· for all other engines:
