FECF 3.6.1.2.5
The FECF insertion can be entirely customized (Cf. CCSDS 100.0-G-1) in terms of:
Initialization
Generator polynomial
Modulation Unit 3.6.2
Main features 3.6.2.1
The data streams can be modulated with the following characteristics:
Various basic modulation schemes: BPSK, (U/O)QPSK, 16APSK, 16QAM, 32APSK, 64APSK,
GMSK. The modulation can be ON or OFF
Carrier Frequency is configurable
Advanced modulation schemes: DVB-S2 and SCCC(-X) (according to CCSDS 131.2-B-1 and
CCSDS 131.20-O)
2SR and 4SR FIR pulse-shaping filter (typ. RRC and GMSK filter with adjustable roll-off/BT)
NRZ-L/M/S, Bi-Phase and programmable DNRZ support
Convolutive encoding schemes for (O)QPSK (single, dual, parallel up to 16, with many
puncturing available) and 8PSK (TCM with rates 2/3, 2.25/3, 2.5/3, 2.75/3, 4D-DSNG)
Symbol rate up to 2 Gsps depending on the configuration
The test unit supports all the features of the demodulator. Please refer to section 3.3 for a complete
overview of the Viterbi and puncturing schemes, TCM encoding and so on.
Constellation Mapping 3.6.2.2
In QPSK mode, two mapping are supported:
