Scope 1.1
This manual contains the information necessary to install, configure, operate and maintain the SDSY
PC-based High Data Rate Receiver 4G+ (CORTEX HDR 4G+).
The document is divided into six main sections:
 Section 1: CORTEX HDR overview and performances,
 Section 2: Hardware description and I/O connections,
 Section 3: Functional description,
 Section 4: Operating procedures and description of the Graphical User Interface,
 Section 5: Hardware and software maintenance procedures,
 Section 6: Configuration examples for different satellites.
Project-specific information (if any) and additional data on the CORTEX HDR are annexed to the
document:
 Appendix 1: Description of the TCP-IP Ethernet interface.
 Appendices 2 & 3: Layout of the Test Modulator board and Demodulator board.
 Appendix 4: Description of the PC compatible workstation.
 Appendix 5: Hardware and software configuration of the CORTEX HDR at delivery.
