• Tapered roller bearing inner race “a”
• Propeller shaft shims “1”
•Washer “2”
• Reverse gear assembly “b”

1. Remove:
• Spring “1”
• Cross pin “2”
•Dog clutch “3”
•Slider “4”
• Balls “5”
• Shift plunger “6”
TIP:
When removing the slider “4”, make sure that
the balls “5” do not fall out of position.
Disassembling the reverse gear
1. Remove:
•Ball bearing “1”
• Thrust washer “2”

Disassembling the propeller shaft

• Use heat-resistant gloves. Otherwise,
burns could result.
• To prevent fires, remove any flammable
substances, such as gasoline and oil,
around the working area.
• Keep good ventilation while working.
1. Remove:
• Oil seals “1”
• Circlip “2”
