PTT cylinder
Removing the tilt ram
Before removing the tilt cylinder end screw,
make sure that the PTT rams are fully ex-
tended. Otherwise, fluid could be expelled
forcefully from the PTT unit due to internal
pressure.
1. Remove:
•Pipe “1”
•Circlips “2”
• Lower mounting shaft caps “3”
•O-rings “4”
• Spring “5”
2. Remove:
• Lower mounting shaft “1”
•O-rings “2”
• Tilt cylinder assembly “3”
• Spacers “4”
3. Drain:
•Fluid
4. Loosen:
• Tilt cylinder end screw “1”
5. Remove:
• Free piston “1”
When removing the free piston, never look
into the tilt cylinder opening because the
free piston and PTT fluid could be expelled
forcefully.
Cover the tilt cylinder using a rag “2”, and then
blow compressed air through the hole “a” to
remove the free piston “1”.
Removing the trim ram
1. Loosen:
• Trim cylinder end screws “1”
