Overhauling the front forks
Notes
It is advisable to loosen the top cap (14) when the fork is still fitted to the motorcycle.
Notes
The special tools required for front fork overhaul are listed in Sect. C 4.
Loosen the preload adjuster (A) before unscrewing the top cap (14).
Unscrew the top cap (14) complete with the rebound damping adjuster.
Disassembly of the front fork
Fit the special service tool part no. 88713.0957, engaging the pins (B) in the holes in the upper spacer, and secure in place with
the screw (C).
