13.4.6.2 Triggering on UART
Prerequisites: A bus is configured for the UART signal to be analyzed. See Configuring
UART signals.
1. Open "Menu" > "Trigger".
2. Set "Trigger on" to "Single event".
3. Ensure that the "Source" is set to the configured serial bus, e.g. "Serial bus 1".
4. Select the "Type": "Start bit", "Packet start", "Parity error", "Break condition" and
"Stop error".
5. Set "Trigger source" to "Tx" or "Rx".
6. Define additional settings for more complex trigger types ("Data"):
a) Tap on "Set details".
b) Set the "Data" condition and "Value".
c) Set the "Position".
In the following example a decode for triggering on TX triggered on "Data"= 0x72
and "Position"= 3.
