The Multi Level Correction measurements are made in addition to a Single Level Cor-
rection measurement. When the user correction list is activated, it is possible to select
which of the measurements is to be used for level correction.
Multi Level Values
The measurement values for the different attenuator settings are retrieved separately.
The numeric suffix at MLEV correlates to the index of the column, e.g. suffix 3 denotes
the column with the values for attenuator setting 5 dB.

5.5.10 Overvoltage Protection
The R&S Signal Generator (all frequency options) is equipped against overloading by an
external signal applied to the RF output.
An R&S SMU with serial number lower than 103001 requires:
●
additional Option Overvoltage Protection and High Power - R&S SMU-B32 (Path A)
and R&S SMU-B37 (Path B) or
●
additional Option Overvoltage Protection -R&S SMU-B30 (Path A) and R&S SMU-
B35 (Path B).
The overload protection is tripped when the power of the external signal becomes too
high. A relay opens and interrupts the connection between the RF output and attenuator.
This condition is indicated in the display header by the "OVERLOAD" status message.
Overvoltage
If an "Overload" status message is indicated in the display header, reset the overload
protection by pressing the RF ON/OFF key.
The RF input is activated when the overload protection is reset.
