Type
Selects the trigger type for I²C analysis.
Some trigger types have additional settings that can be defined. In this case, the "Set
details" button appears next to "Type" the function. Open it for a detailed definition of
the trigger conditions.

TRIGger:I2C:TYPE on page 729
Start ← Type
Sets the trigger to the start of the message. The start condition is a falling edge on
SDA while SCL is high. The trigger instant is the falling edge of the SDA line.
You can change the SDA and SCL lines here if necessary.
Repeated start ← Type
Sets the trigger to a repeated start - when the start condition occurs without previous
stop condition. Repeated start conditions occur when a controller exchanges multiple
messages with a target device without releasing the bus.
Stop ← Type
Sets the trigger to the end of the message. The stop condition is a rising slope on SDA
while SCL is high.
No Ack ← Type
Missing acknowledge bit: the instrument triggers if the data line remains HIGH during
the clock pulse following a transmitted byte.
