The sub-protocol (e.g. HTML, video, etc.) determines what meaning this field has.
Since the content of this data area is not decoded, the interpretation of the TYPE field
is ambivalent. The query either returns the word type (specific for the sub-protocol), or
the length of the selected word within the search result.
