"User Correc-
tion"
Note: User correction can be operated if the instrument is equipped with
an R&S SMU-K63.
Optimization is reached by data generated with the R&S SMU RF and
Baseband Correction Toolkit.

Frequency Response Correction
Correction Files for user defined correction of the RF output, supported by the R&S
SMU RF and Baseband Correction Toolkit (option R&S SMU-K63) can be loaded in the
lower section of the dialog box.
The R&S SMU K63 File Info section displays header "information on" the loaded "fre-
quency response correction file".
Load Correction File... - I/Q Impairments (Digital Baseband)
Opens the standard file dialog box used to load and store lists or data, i.e. in this particular
case files containing correction data. Each file is stored with the predefined file extension
*.frc (Frequency Response Correction). The standard directory for frequency correc-
tion files is D:\SMxRFandBBCorrectionTooolkit\SMxK63.
Note: The frc parameters get values from this file. If the file is not existing or corrupted
the info parameters will not be updated. An error message is displayed in the info line of
the status bar. If no further user correction file is loaded the default corrections will be
applied in high quality mode.

Correction File Status - I/Q Impairments (Digital Baseband)
Displays whether the frequency response correction file *.frc could be loaded properly.
"OK"
File type and data of the correction file are ok. The file can be used for
frequency response correction.
"Missing"
File not found.
Error message, displayed in the info line: "There are no valid data avail-
able for optimization mode "high quality". Therefore an optimization is
NOT possible."
"Incompatible"
The file is not compatible with the instrument or the path and could not
be loaded.
Error message, displayed in the info line: "The selected frequency
response correction file is incompatible - due to wrong device and serial
number and path".
"Corrupt"
The frequency response correction data is corrupt and the file could not
be loaded.
