7.2.3 Functionality
The motor controlled earthing switch and disconnector supervision (ESDCSSWI)
is used for monitoring switch status, inactivity, contact travel time and operation
counter. Function can be used for condition monitoring and as indicator for
maintenance need.
7.2.4 Operation principle
The
Operation setting is used to enable or disable the function. When selected "On"
the function is enabled and respectively "Off" means function is disabled.
The operation of ESDCSSWI is described by using a module diagram (see figure
below). All the modules in the diagram are explained in the next sections.
