The Ethernet ports marked with LAN A and LAN B are used with redundant Ethernet
protocols HSR and PRP. The third station bus Ethernet port without the LAN A or
LAN B label is an interlink port which is used to connect a device to the common
redundant Ethernet channel.

If a galvanic pilot wire is used as the protection communication link, the pilot wire modem
RPW600 is required. A single-mode SFP transceiver and corresponding fiber-optic cable is used
to connect REX640 with the RPW600 modem. The recommended minimum length of this cable is
3 m.
