Chapter 5 Parameters Definition

If the Monitor is restarted in this condition the Service Menu with only the greyed out
“F1 Place in…Service” and reason is shown. Press Esc to go through password
level to see the other options on the Service Menu (refer to Access Level Settings on
page 37).
F1 – Place in No Database Conditional Service
If SOFT-LDB is installed and enabled (see Local Database Support Option on page
330), and a SOFT-LDB database fault occurs when connected to one – see the
Monitor Local Database Support Manual) then pressing “F10 = Place in No
Database Conditional Service” on the Faults screen will change “F1 – Place in
Normal Service” to this mode.
F1 – Place in Krypton Mode Service
If Krypton Mode is enabled (see both the Model Selection screen on page 18 and the
Common Values screen on page 103) then the choices are F1 to place the unit in
Normal service and Shift+F1 to place in Krypton Mode service. See Krypton Mode
on page 66 for more details.
F2 – Test Menu
The Test Menu, described on page 196, provides access to various routines that check
and report on system performance, including the detectors, electronics,
communications, and timing systems. It is also used to adjust the detector high
voltage and discriminator settings. Two special procedures can be found in the
Shift+F2 – Additional Test Menu described on page 213. These are used to optimize
the high voltage settings for Gamma scintillation detectors and to optimize self shield
factors for various modes of operation. If an Auxiliary Sensor board is installed, then
two more items are shown (F3 – Test Auxiliary Sensor Board and F7 – Barrier
Exerciser). Refer to the chapter, Diagnostics/Maintenance starting on page 194, for
details on using and interpreting the Test Menus.
